A weekly consultation group for clinicians who want to do deeper, steadier trauma work, drawing on IFS*-informed practice, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and interpersonal process.
* A clinical consultation group, not an IFS Institute training.
Not a substitute for IFS Level 1. No CEUs.

Felt stuck with a client who keeps circling the same material…
Noticed your own reactions showing up in session…
Known which technique to use, but not when (or whether to use one at all)…
Sat in a silence wondering whether to speak, wait, or slow everything down…
…then you already know that good trauma work is more than protocol. It’s pacing, presence, and a hundred small choices you make in real time.
Pathways to Self is where we work on those choices together.

A real relationship. The client has a direct, emotionally alive connection with the healer.
An explanation that makes sense. The healer offers an understanding of the client’s suffering that the client finds believable.
A healing ritual. There is a procedure that both people expect to help.
Shared belief. The healer is committed to the method, and the client expects it to work.
That’s why I don’t think trauma work comes down to picking the “right” model. IFS, EMDR, and SE are powerful. But they work best inside a strong relationship, offered with an explanation that fits this particular client, and practiced by a therapist who is grounded and genuinely believes in the work.
That’s what we build in Pathways to Self.
IFS-informed work: working with protectors, pacing around vulnerable parts, and using the model without forcing it.
EMDR: recognizing when a client is ready for processing and how to integrate it with parts work.
Somatic Experiencing: tracking the body, titrating, and staying within the window of tolerance.
Psychodynamics & interpersonal process: noticing what’s happening between you and your client, and using it.
The challenge of maintaining Self-energy in sessions– IFS requires therapists to lead from a state of calm, curiosity, and compassion, but staying in Self while navigating a client’s intense emotions or protectors can be incredibly difficult, especially without proper support and practice.
IFS trainings aren't always accessible– Getting formally trained in IFS can be a long and costly process. Some trainings have extensive waitlists and can take months or even years to secure a spot, with initial costs starting at $4,000—making it inaccessible for many therapists eager to learn.

A few years ago, after hitting a wall from burnout during the pandemic, I discovered IFS — and it completely changed how I approach therapy.
Now I’m passionate about helping other therapists use IFS to improve client outcomes, avoid burnout, and build long, sustainable careers.
I’m excited to share this training with you, so you can transform your practice, too.
